From Byran Chappell, in his book…Christ Centered Preaching:
“the power to do what God requires, resides in God…a sermon with out practical/proper instruction is like yelling to a drowning person, ‘Swim!! Swim!!!’ While the advice is correct, it’s not very helpful…it simply tells someone in their situation what to do, with no means to accomplish it” (paraphrase)
And that means is only found in the Cross of Jesus Christ. Praise Christ for making us new. Amen!
